What’s in a name…I say

We have all been given a name and we’re identified by that name. We make sense of things by identifying it and by attaching a name to it. A person’s name is the greatest connection to their own identity. How do you identify in this time or how do you prefer to identify to life?

I’ve just finished reading a fictional novel that is a gripping, thrilling, touching story and a beautifully written account of modern life. I also read the book of daily wisdom notes that helps me navigate stress. It helps me absorb and present empowering and practical tools for tending my life. Both the novel and the daily dairy notes are written by two different authors and yet, both great authors with totally different styles in writing. The daily dairy notes were written specifically to motivate and uplift a person psychologically. The fictional novel on the other hand, is a story written bringing attention to heart-rending psychological emotions of human life. The novel highlighted through the author’s imagination how joy and sorrow exist at the same time. The daily notes give inspiration for people who want to learn how to lead empowered lives and savour the joy of being alive. Both books illustrate how important it is to take control of our lives, to find our identity and to be your true authentic self.

As I am living life, I know that not every moment is an uplifting one, I however know, that I have to constantly seek and find those pivotal moments in life. Now is the time to be our authentic self and live up to your name. Be true to yourself through your words and actions. Don’t wait for tomorrow, be YOU today!

What’s in a name…I say

What’s in a name I asked

What do we call this fear

This fear that’s taken over our world

This fear that lives inside of us

Give it a name, I dare say

What do you choose to feel

Does it make you feel less afraid

Because you can call it by name

Our world will never be the same

We live in fear for our health

We live in fear for our future

We fear the unknown

I choose to name all of this

Yet I also choose to live…

I believe in God, love and life! Married to my friend, mentor and rock. We have been blessed with two beautiful girls. My personal journey provides opportunities for me to empower individuals to lead better lives. I have had a real desire to work with people for a long time and have always been fascinated with human behaviour and understanding how the mind works.
I love the following quote by H. Jackson Brown, Jr. “Remember that children, marriages and flower gardens reflect the kind of care they get”

Well said.
In my personal opinion the name is just for ease of communication.
A person is beyond his/her body too, ie consciousness. There all answers to the most prominent question ‘Who am i?’ Is same for all.
One must embark upon that journey too, being gifted with opportunity to live a life of human being on this planet – said mystics of the world.

Beautifully written and so true. Both fiction and no-fiction are works that would provide us with necessary emotions and encouragement, that affects our actions in our life.
After reading a good book, if the book contained with optimish, I would be looking through the next few days with positive outlook.
If I read a really depressing one, I would be depressed for days to come.
Also, the book, whether fiction or non-fiction, stretches our minds, shows us ways that we could do a task, if we encounter a similar situation in our lives(though not as dramatic as in books).
More importantly, it shows us that we should proactively take control of ourselves to see any change in our lives and we should also believe in ourselves.
A great and thought-provoking post. It really made me reflect myself and my reading habits and what it means to me and how I should use the reading opportunities.
Keep posting. 😊

A name is really just a name isn’t it, and we are the ones that give it a symbol or meaning. I think it helps us to communicate and convey what we feel inside us, but of course it can be interpreted differently depending on the person speaking or listening. It’s the beauty of language, if we want to see it that way. Nice topic to get people thinking, thank you!
