Onward and Upward

As we hit the “third wave” in our country, the word “wave” comes short in describing the devastation of this pandemic. The word “tsunami” sounds more accurate in what’s really happening right now! I cannot help but worry about the uncertainty brought on by this pandemic. I know that I will have to keep pushing onward and upward to survive this “tsunami.”

I know by pushing onward it will certainly help in alleviating these unpleasant experiences. I’m using this platform to share a bit of positivity that I have experienced this past week. Please let me know in the comment field about your positive experiences too.

We were fortunate to celebrate Father’s Day, this Sunday past and I wrote this poem to my husband who is the epitome of a dad to our two beautiful girls:

I loved you before you became a father and loved you even more when you affectionately showered our girls with so much love!

The love you have for them shows in everything you do and in return I can see their love for you.

I’ve seen our girls blossom with the love you have bestowed.

Through your love as a dad, you’ve instilled in them an overall sense of well-being and self-confidence.

As an involved father, you continuously promote inner growth and strength and in return they love you so much and want to make you proud!

They are blessed to have a dad like you, but I know that you feel blessed too, to be called their dad.

Another happy moment was the adoption of  this cuddly handsome little one (see inserted photo).

Wishing you all so much positive experiences, take care and don’t forget to push onward and upward!

I believe in God, love and life! Married to my friend, mentor and rock. We have been blessed with two beautiful girls. My personal journey provides opportunities for me to empower individuals to lead better lives. I have had a real desire to work with people for a long time and have always been fascinated with human behaviour and understanding how the mind works.
I love the following quote by H. Jackson Brown, Jr. “Remember that children, marriages and flower gardens reflect the kind of care they get”

Thank you for sharing a part of your world with thoughts and pictures!… my positivity is every morning I wake up on the green side of the grass and able to chase my dreams and greet the new adventures each day brings…. 🙂

Until we meet again..
May the sun shine all day long
Everything go right, nothing go wrong
May those you love bring love back to you
And may all the wishes you wish come true

Thank you for sharing that beautiful poem – I’m sure that your husband was very grateful to have recieved it and to hear you describe him so fondly. I agree, this pandemic has been so tough to deal with but we must still remain positive and keep moving onwards and upwards. Thanks so much for sharing an extra piece of positivity with us ❤

Hen, what a lovely tribute to your husband. And what a precious puppy. So sorry to hear your country is struggling once again with covid. (May I ask what country you are in?) It is truly important to stay cognizant of our blessings during the really bad times. We have been blessed this week by being downgraded on the wildfire evacuation alert scale, and our air quality is getting better, plus our monsoons should be starting early next week. Blessings to you & your fam for safety, my friend. 🌞
